Requirement

Automated production of 300 individual factsheets.
Automated production of 6 books for Retail and Institutional Market.

Solution

The requirement for the USA market was undertaken after the UK/European solution was successfully tested and had been running live for around 4 months. The design and content of the items was completely different to the UK materials and the size of the publications are A4 Quarto.

Some of the graphics were very complicated and, where it was not efficient to automate certain graphical treatments, EPS files were incorporated into a database for referencing and importing onto a page. The client supplies XML data feeds (one per fund/language) and separate XML files are supplied to facilitate the book build requirements.

All files are delivered via FTP and email notification is in place to notify receipt of files and completion of screen and press PDFs and Quark Artwork. Work can also be viewed and downloaded from our FileTracker website.
